Passing Us By

A girl cartwheels. A study on the passage of time, seen by the following of a movement. When we look at children, we see how fast they have grown. We feel a pull against time, never wanting them to grow up. We become aware of our own passage through life and, ultimately, our own mortality.

(For display the sculpture is on concrete blocks. It should be a floor level, with base plates hidden in the ground.)
