Hourglass
This series of reduction woodcuts examines the finitude of childhood. A study on the passage of time, seen by the following of a movement. When we look at children, we see how fast they have grown. We feel a push and pull of wanting them to grow faster but also never wanting them to grow up. We become aware of our own passage through life and ultimately, our own mortality.
